Terms & Conditions — TMC Phone Installment Service
Effective: 5 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TMC (Thering Mobile Communication) services, including our website theringpro.com, WhatsApp consultations, and phone installment plans issued through our lending partner JCL Credit Leasing. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us
TMC (Thering Mobile Communication) SSM Registration: NS0160370-K Business Address: PT 5732, Jalan TS 2/1D, Taman Semarak 2, 71800 Nilai, Negeri Sembilan Business Type: Retail sales of mobile phones + installment plan facilitation. We are a retailer authorized by JCL Credit Leasing (Malaysian licensed lender). We facilitate the application; the actual credit / loan agreement is between you and JCL Credit Leasing.
2. Eligibility
To apply for a phone installment, you must: • Be a Malaysian citizen or permanent resident, aged 18 or above. • Hold a valid Malaysian IC (identity card). • Have a stable income (typically salaried employment; commission-based accepted with 3-month bank statement). • Provide accurate documents and information. We reserve the right to refuse any application at our discretion.
3. How the installment works
(a) You choose a phone (iPhone, Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Huawei, and other models on our site). (b) You submit your latest 1-month payslip + IC via WhatsApp. (c) We check your eligibility and forward your application to JCL Credit Leasing. (d) On approval (typically within 1 working day), you sign the installment agreement. (e) We deliver the phone (nationwide delivery or Nilai walk-in). (f) Your first monthly payment starts the month AFTER delivery. (g) You pay monthly to JCL Credit Leasing for the full tenure (12, 24, or 36 months).
4. Interest rate & total cost
Our installment plans use a FLAT monthly interest rate of 1.25% per month. Example: If the phone loan amount is RM 5,000 for 36 months: Monthly interest = RM 5,000 × 1.25% = RM 62.50 Total interest over 36 months = RM 62.50 × 36 = RM 2,250 Monthly installment = (RM 5,000 + RM 2,250) ÷ 36 ≈ RM 201/month Total repayment = RM 7,250 The interest rate is FLAT, not reducing — it applies to the original loan amount each month. This is common practice for retail phone installments in Malaysia. Please compare with other lenders before committing. All pricing shown on the website is an estimate. Final pricing is confirmed by JCL Credit Leasing on approval.
5. Deposit / down payment
NO DEPOSIT is required. You take the phone first; monthly payments begin from the month after delivery.
6. Delivery
• We deliver nationwide across Malaysia via POSTAGE (Pos Laju / J&T / etc) or DTD (door-to-door courier). • Walk-in collection is available at our Nilai store. • Delivery is typically within 3-5 working days after approval. • You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and being available to receive the phone. • Risk of loss transfers to you once you take possession of the phone.
7. Cancellation & refund
Before agreement signed: You may cancel your application at any time before the installment agreement with JCL Credit Leasing is signed. No penalty. After agreement signed but before delivery: You may cancel within 3 business days. Any processing fees paid may not be refundable. After delivery: Once you have received and signed for the phone, cancellation follows JCL Credit Leasing's contractual terms. Typically, early settlement is possible but may incur an early settlement fee. Defective phone: If the phone is defective on arrival, notify us within 7 days for warranty support (through the manufacturer's warranty channels).
8. Payment default
• Missed payments will incur late fees per JCL Credit Leasing's terms. • Repeated defaults may result in the phone being reclaimed and your name reported to credit reference agencies. • We encourage you to WhatsApp us EARLY if you anticipate difficulty paying — we may be able to arrange a payment restructure.
9. Device warranty
All phones sold through TMC carry the manufacturer's original warranty (Apple, Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi, etc.) — typically 12 months. Warranty claims must go directly through the manufacturer's authorized service centers. TMC does not extend or replace the manufacturer's warranty terms.
10. Prohibited use
You agree NOT to: • Use false or forged documents in your application. • Apply on behalf of another person. • Resell or transfer the phone before completing the installment (breach of agreement). • Use our services for money laundering or any illegal purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
TMC is a retailer + application facilitator. Our liability is limited to the value of the phone purchased. We are not liable for: • Indirect or consequential losses. • Loss of data on the device. • Third-party actions (JCL Credit Leasing, delivery couriers, banks) — those follow their respective terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Negeri Sembilan.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
