Your Privacy — Protected under Malaysia's PDPA 2010

TMC — Thering Mobile Communication (SSM: NS0160370-K), based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from you, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
1. What data we collect
When you contact us or apply for a phone installment plan, we collect: • Identity: Full name, IC (identity card) number, date of birth, address. • Employment: Employer name, monthly income (via payslip), employment start date. • Contact: WhatsApp / phone number, email (if provided). • Device / phone selection: which model, storage, color, tenure you're interested in. • Website usage: Anonymous analytics data (page views, referrer, device type) via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel — used to improve marketing and website performance.
2. How we collect it
We collect data ONLY when you voluntarily provide it: • WhatsApp conversations with our sales team. • Documents you send (IC photo, latest payslip, bank statement if applicable). • Application forms we send you. • Walk-in visits to our shop in Nilai. We do NOT run credit checks (CCRIS / CTOS) beyond what you disclose.
3. Why we collect it
Your data is used solely for these purposes: (a) To assess your eligibility for a phone installment plan. (b) To submit your application to our lending partner, JCL Credit Leasing (Malaysian licensed lender). (c) To deliver your phone and manage the installment agreement. (d) To contact you regarding your application status, payments, or after-sales support. (e) To improve our website and marketing (anonymous analytics only).
4. Who we share it with
We share your personal data ONLY with: • JCL Credit Leasing — our authorized lending partner (required to issue the loan agreement). • Payment gateways — for processing installment payments (bank / e-wallet providers). • Delivery couriers — name + delivery address only. • Malaysian authorities — if legally required (e.g. court order, tax authority). We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT share it with unrelated third parties for marketing.
5. How long we keep it
• Active customers: We retain your data for the duration of your installment agreement + 7 years after final payment (as required by Malaysian tax + audit law). • Rejected applications: Kept for 12 months, then deleted. • Website analytics: Anonymous, retained per Google Analytics / Meta defaults (typically 14 months).
6. How we protect it
• All documents are stored on encrypted servers (Supabase, hosted in Southeast Asia). • Access is restricted to authorized TMC staff who need it for their role. • WhatsApp conversations are end-to-end encrypted by WhatsApp itself. • We do not store your data on personal devices or unsecured cloud drives.
7. Your rights under PDPA
You have the right to: • Access your personal data we hold. • Correct it if inaccurate. • Withdraw consent (may end your active installment plan). • Request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements above). • Complain to Malaysia's Department of Personal Data Protection (JPDP) if you believe your rights are violated. 8. Cookies & tracking
Our website uses: • Google Analytics 4 — anonymous visit analytics (IP anonymized). • Meta Pixel + CAPI — for Facebook / Instagram ad performance measurement. We do NOT use tracking cookies for advertising retargeting beyond Meta's standard. You can block these via your browser's Do Not Track or ad-blocker settings.
9. Children
Our services are not directed at persons under 18. Phone installment applications require a valid Malaysian IC (issued at age 12+, employment typically 18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
